Everything could happen in Santurce at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth rankedCangrejeras and one of their biggest challengers Monarcas had identical 4-3 record. This time Cangrejeras used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Juana Diaz 95-91 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was a great shooting night for Santurce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Dayshalee Salaman (163-1990, college: LMU) supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Cangrejeras players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 30 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists by American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Monarcas . Her fellow American import forward Tess Amundsen (185-1999, college: CSUN) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Defending champion (5-3) moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Monarcas dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Hatillo.
